Alaskan Art Workshops
Day 1: Photo Transfer/Vintage Tea Boil Workshop
The first half of the day you will learn the unique, ethereal process of photo transfers on French deckled paper. You will leave with your own piece of fine art and the knowledge to use this method on wood, walls, cupboards and fabric.
Lunch is included.
The second half of the day, you will learn the beautifull art and secrets of Vintage Tea Boiling. We will wrap bundles of treasures; papers, photo copies, letters, recipes, book pages, fabric and metal. You have to see it to believe. Beautiful! These can then be used as cards, letters, transfers, labels and in journaling. (Inspired by Orly Avineri, and with permission to share).
For this class bring some textured papers, letters, cards, cotton or silk fabric pieces.
All supplies are included.

Day 2: Vintage Wood Technique and Spoon Bending
Learn this unique process of aging wood by texturizing, crackling and weathering, using wood putty, chalk paint, and antique wax. This method will enhance any room and can be used on doors, chests, kitchen cupboards and much more. I did my entire kitchen in this method. It looks like an old French bakery. I will show how to make chalk paint and share my favorite recipe.
Lunch is included.
The second half of the day we will bend silver plated vintage spoons. You will leave with new knowledge to beautify your home in a rare and unique way. Leave with a piece of vintage wood and bent spoon to hang your coat or hat on, keys or hot pads. So much fun.

Sunset Beach Shoot Workshop
An exciting field trip to the beach at sunset. Learn how to capture stunning images, using natural light, backlighting, and off camera flash. Open your mind to all of the possibilities. Learn tricks, tips and techniques on getting the best compositions, most flattering light and shadow on your model. Learn the secrets of using water reflections, crystals and silk to add artistic flair to your images. Model included. 3 hours.

Beginning Photography
In this workshop you will first be learning what the camera settings are for and how to use them, learning about light and how to find it, tips and tricks on how to pose your model in the most flattering and natural way. This workshop will open your mind to new, fun and creative ideas and ways to shoot.
This is a two part class. We will going on two separate field trips / locations. Two – 2 hour classes. Make sure to bring your camera. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Super fun class, refreshments and drinks included.

Pottery Workshops
Beginning Wheel throwing
Time to get messy! Learn to center, open and compress clay, and throw your own pot on the potter’s wheel. We’ll take your piece and learn trimming, finishing, glazing and firing. You leave with your own, one of a kind piece/pieces. So much fun. Wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. All supplies, tools, clay, glaze, firings, music, fun and refreshments included. Three – 2 hour classes in this workshop.

Clay Handbuilding Workshop
In this workshop you will play with clay, using a slab roller and coils, we will build pots and art pieces, exploring surface decorations, altering forms, experimenting with textures pressed into clay. All supplies, tools, clay, glaze, firings, music, fun and refreshments included. Two – 2 hour classes in this workshop. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

Beginning Art Journaling
Opening a whole new world! Learn the magic of putting your thoughts, feelings, loves, hates, inspirations and quotes in a journal. Add paint, texture, vintage material, glue, sewing, lace, buttons, ribbon, crunchy torn paper and so much more. Your imagination is the limit. Bring your own empty white paged journal. All other supplies included; paint, washes, brushes, glue, ephemera, silks, ribbons, lace, texturing divides, vintage paper, sewing machine, images etc.. magic.
This is a four part class, 2 hours each. In each class you will learn beautiful new tips and techniques to fill your journal. Refreshments included.
